Two suspects were arrested near Cornelia for kidnapping and assault.

Two people were arrested Friday and charged with aggravated assault and kidnapping following a raid on a home on Homer Stephens Road near Cornelia.

Dylan Anthony Forrester, 30, and Ashley Nicole Sosebee, 32, of Clermont have been wanted since the Oct. 6 abduction of a White County woman, Rob Moore of the Habersham County Sheriff’s Office said.

Following the incident, the victim managed to free himself from his restraints and asked for help.

Forrester, a convicted felon, was found with a loaded Taurus 9mm handgun when deputies raided the home. Deputies also found a bulletproof vest with ceramic panels and plates, but he was not wearing it at the time of his arrest.

Moore said Sosebee had methamphetamine and Clonazepam in his possession at the time of his arrest.

“I am proud of the work my deputies did to locate and arrest these two who are now facing charges in Habersham County,” said Sheriff Joey Terrell. “He was armed and had a bulletproof vest at the time of his arrest, so we are grateful that the arrest of these violent men ended safely.”

Forrester is charged in Habersham County with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, while Sosebee faces charges of possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute and possess a Schedule IV drug (Clonazapam).

Both suspects face kidnapping and two counts of aggravated assault following the Oct. 6 incident in White County

The homeowner, Scott Arrowood, was also arrested Friday morning on a felony probation warrant.

“These arrests follow information we received from a reliable source,” said Habersham County Sheriff’s Lt. Greg Chastain. “They are the product of the hard work of our Special Operations Units, including our Narcotics Unit, Lt. Travis Jarrell, and Sgt. Blake Forrester and Deputy Holden Helcher, along with both our K9s and Lt. Cason and deputies from our Uniform Patrol.”

Forrester, Sosebee and Arrowood are being held at the Habersham County Detention Center in Clarkesville.
