Buccaneers Need to Start for Week 10 Fantasy Football Matchups

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will have a very important game against the San Francisco 49ers in Week 10. They face a team at home that could disrupt their Wild Card playoff hopes, and if they win, they could fall behind 5-5 heading into the bye. week – they lost and finished 4-6 in the back half of the year with little room for error.

We at BucsGameday also love fantasy football (who doesn’t), so each week we’ll round up two players on Tampa Bay’s roster you should start… and two players you may want to stay away from. Here are our picks for this week:

TE Cade Otton

Cade Otton Renaissance is officially alive. Otton has thrown for three touchdowns in two games and has accumulated 258 yards in his last three games. He appears to be the focal point of an offense without Mike Evans and Chris Godwin, and as long as the train is moving, you should start him if you have him.

QB Baker Mayfield

Baker Mayfield looks a little limited with a toe injury, but it shouldn’t be a big deal. We doubted him on the Chiefs’ stellar defense, but he still scored twice in a 30-24 overtime loss. He has scored at least two goals since September. We ended up betting against one of the NFL’s most prolific kickers this year.

Tampa Bay Pirates D/ST

The Bucs defense is allowing 27 points and 386.7 yards per game. This is not good. Look for another defense on the waiver wire.

RB Bucky Irving

Bucky Irving’s production has been a bit down so far since re-aggravating a toe injury that left him unable to find the end zone in his last two games. Additionally, he is a committee running back, so his fantasy value drops if he is not in the end zone. It might be worth it to wait and see what happens here and then let him rest during the bye week.
