Traffic stop in Center Point led to drug arrest and seizure of narcotics

One person was arrested Tuesday following a traffic stop in Center Point following the discovery of illegal drugs.

Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office 26-year-old Trayveon McBride for ‘Illegal Possession of Marijuana 1st Degree,’ ‘Drug Trafficking,’ and ‘Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.’

The sheriff’s office said vice and narcotics detectives received a complaint about narcotic activity in the Center Point area.

Detectives conducted an operation near the area of ​​Huffman Road and Center Point Parkway.

The sheriff’s office said a black Honda Accord was stopped on Center Point Parkway for a traffic violation.

McBride was taken into custody and given a total bail of $28,000. The sheriff’s office said he was released on bail.

The sheriff’s office said a Glock (2.40 caliber) was seized along with 5.28 grams of Oxycodone, 43 grams of Hydrocodone and 29.11 grams of Marijuana.
