OLATHE, Kan. (KCTV) – A woman was killed in a pedestrian accident in Olathe Thursday night.

The Olathe Police Department said a crash involving a pedestrian and a pickup truck in the area of ​​South Lone Elm Road and the I-35 Freeway resulted in the death of a 37-year-old woman.

OPD said the crash happened just after 6:15 p.m. Thursday.

When police officers arrived at the scene, they saw that the woman, who was on foot, was unresponsive. Life-saving measures were attempted at the scene, but he was later pronounced dead.

Police said the 57-year-old man driving the pickup truck remained at the scene and was cooperating with the investigation into the crash.
