AKRON, Ohio (WOIO) – A man was fatally shot following a dispute in Akron Thursday night, according to the Summit County Medical Examiner’s Office.

Around 7:53 p.m., a 29-year-old man was shot multiple times by an unidentified suspect in a parking lot on West Long Street, according to the medical examiner’s office.

According to The Summit County Medical Examiner’s Office, the shooting occurred following a dispute.

The 29-year-old was taken to Cleveland Clinic Akron General Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead around 9:57 p.m.

The Summit County Medical Examiner’s Office said it will provide an update on the incident once a positive identification is made.
