TYLER, Texas (KLTV) – A Tyler man was sentenced to 50 years in prison without parole on Wednesday after being found guilty of repeatedly sexually assaulting a child.

According to the Smith County District Attorney’s Office, Jorge Perez Sadierna, 37, of Tyler, remained “emotionless” when the jury sentenced him to 50 years in prison without the possibility of parole for various types of sexual abuse during several years of his age two. The victims are both under the age of 14.

Experts from the Child Advocacy Center in Tyler were invited to testify and educated the jury on the various signs of child sexual abuse and the barriers that prevent victims from coming forward soon after being abused.

The case was investigated by the Tyler Police Department and was presided over by Judge Reeve Jackson.
