As Veterans Day approaches, Gaston County organizations are planning events to honor those who fought for the United States.

The Cramerton Community Committee and the Cramerton Historical Society will host a celebration on Monday, November 11, starting at 11:11 a.m. at the Cramerton independent Presbyterian Church, 151 8th Ave. The event will include color presentation, singing of the national anthem and prayer. , introducing and recognizing dignitaries, commemorating veterans, and closing comments with taps before the meal is served. Meals will be provided by Georgio’s Restaurant to give veterans and their families the opportunity to dine afterward. We welcome all veterans.

Gaston County’s Veterans Day parade will take place in Dallas this year. The parade, which begins at 11 a.m. on Monday, November 11, will start in Ingles and follow Main Street until it reaches Gaston Street.
