An objection made by a member of the public stated that the entrance to the site was via a marked path and would therefore “impact on horseback riding in the area – there are also native badgers believed to be a settlement at the site”.

The applicant said that “the potential user cannot come speculatively and dog walking sessions are pre-booked for defined intervals in terms of arrival, start time and duration.”

“This will be appropriate to control access to the facility and, if necessary, timings will be staggered to prevent too many users arriving or leaving at the same time.”

The plan was approved by council this week.
