MARSHALL COUNTY, Ind.–A Michigan City woman’s blood alcohol content was more than three times the legal limit when she was arrested Wednesday.

Police said 31-year-old Brianna Ellis was driving 81 mph in a 35 mph zone on North Michigan Street. They say they tried to stop him, but he sped away and ran several red lights until they ended the chase and arrested him near the intersection of Michigan Avenue and Oakhill Boulevard.

Ellis was taken to the Marshall County Jail. He is charged with resisting law enforcement, reckless driving and operating a vehicle with a blood alcohol content of 0.15 or more.
