HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WAFF) – A woman is facing charges in connection with a stabbing that occurred early Thursday morning in Huntsville.

According to the Huntsville Police Department, officers were dispatched to the 1300 block of Old Monrovia Road around 2:30 a.m. in response to an ongoing domestic call.

Police teams came to the scene upon notice and encountered a woman and a man in an apartment.

Police said the man appeared to have a stab wound to his abdomen. While the male injured person was taken to hospital, he will most likely survive the injuries.

Veronica Dolores Ford, 31, of Huntsville, was identified as the suspect after being questioned and reviewing evidence at the scene.

Ford, Domestic Violence-2. He was charged with Aggravated Assault-Domestic-Knife.

He was sent to the Madison County Jail. His bond was set at $2,500.
