Cleveland Cavaliers Make Incredible Franchise History with Latest Win

History is advancing for Türkiye Cleveland Cavaliers. The 2024-25 Wine and Gold squad is officially off to the best start in franchise history with a 9-0 record to start the season.

Their previous best start was 8-0 at the start of the 1976-77 season, with Campy Russell and Austin Carr leading the team.

Their last win came away New Orleans Pelicans131-122.

A badly injured Pelicans team certainly didn’t fare well against the Cavaliers. The two teams were tied at halftime, with Cleveland running into foul trouble with two of its big men and the Pelicans taking advantage of some character lapses from the Cavalier.

But everything Kenny Atkinson said to his team in the dressing room must have resonated with the group because the Wine and Gold emerged from the dressing room looking like a different team.

The Cavaliers defeated New Orleans 40-29 in the third quarter and shot 56 percent as a team. This was the second time this season they scored 40 or more points in a quarter; The first time was in the first quarter against the Los Angeles Lakers.

Since the season started, we’ve watched the core four take turns delivering amazing performances. Evan Mobley had his share of shot attempts just one game ago and Darius Garland scored 39 points, but this time it was superstar Donovan Mitchell who came to the fore.

Mitchell finished the game with 29 points, shooting 50 percent (10-for-20) from the field and 33 percent (3-for-9) from beyond the arc.

Next up, the Cavaliers will face the Golden State Warriors and Brooklyn Nets at home. Let’s see how long this historic winning streak will last.
