WWE Reveals NXT’s Big Announcement Deadline Details

WWE held tonight’s NXT at the iconic 2300 arena, and after a fierce match after the episode began, NXT General Manager Ava Raine revealed her anticipated and mysterious announcement. It turns out that this announcement contains all the details about NXT Deadline, which will be NXT’s last event of the year. Raine revealed to Deadline that it will be a Premium Live Event and will take place on December 7 in Minneapolis Minnesota. Then Raine explained: Iron Survivor Challenge will make his return for both men and women.

NXT then previewed next week’s episode, which will feature the first elimination matches for the men’s and women’s Iron Survivor Challenges, in addition to some other rivalries and Championship matches. No statement has been made about who will take part in these qualifying matches, but there are definitely a few names that will immediately come to mind.

It’s clear the champions won’t be in the mix, which currently includes Trick Williams, Roxanne Perez, Fallon Henley and Tony D’Angelo. A few names that come to mind for the match include Jacy Jayne, Ethan Page, Cora Jade, Brooks Jensen, Ridge Holland, Jaida Parker, Lola Vice, Oba Femi, Nikkita Lyons, Stephanie Vaquer, Giulia, Zaria, Je’Von Evans, and Wes Lee, just to name a few. It will be interesting to see how this plays out as some of these superstars have been featured in other storylines and therefore will not be featured in one of these commercials.

It’s a bit surreal to look at last year’s Deadline card, as the card now features either main event superstars or main event players from NXT. This card featured superstars like Tiffany Stratton, Bron Breakker, Dominik Mysterio, Dragon Lee, Carmelo Hayes, and Ilja Dragunov, and all of these stars, along with Mysterio who was already on the main roster, have since moved to or from Raw. Smack down. It’s also quite ironic that the event kicked off with a match between Axiom and Nathan Frazer, feuding as the current NXT Tag Team Champions.

Iron Survivor Challenge, which made its debut in 2023, will also return. As the War Games format was adopted by Survivor Series, NXT needed a unique match format to step in and replace it. Take on the Iron Survivor Challenge, lasting over 25 minutes and featuring five superstars. The match starts with two superstars, then another star enters every five minutes, and the person with the most points at the end of the time wins.

Last year’s winners were Trick Williams and Blair Davenport, and it was a huge highlight for both of them. Williams would defeat Carmelo Hayes for the NXT Championship, while Davenport would later be drafted to SmackDown. Now two superstars will step onto a bigger stage and have a Championship opportunity and we will have to wait and see who makes it to the final five.
