Woman Reported Missing by Husband After Last Seen at Her Texas Home, Leaving Without Phone or Car

Police said Melonie Ballenger was last reported to have been “seen at her home” on Sunday, November 3, at 10 p.m.

Police are searching for a missing Texas woman who left home without her phone or vehicle.

On Monday, November 4, at approximately 6:35 local time, Melonie Ballenger was reported missing by her husband. Wylie Police Department.

When officers arrived at their home in the 100 block of Parkwood Drive, they learned that Ballenger, 46, was last seen at his home on Sunday, Nov. 3, at 10 p.m.

Police said he did not take his vehicle or phone with him when he left.

“Officers searched the area for hours with the assistance of investigators, K9 search dogs and a Texas Department of Public Safety helicopter but were unable to locate Melonie,” police wrote.

One update On Wednesday, Nov. 6, police said they were “still actively searching” for Ballenger, who has black hair, brown eyes, is 5-foot-11 and weighs 135 lbs. – and reiterated that it was reported that he was “last seen at his home at 10pm on Sunday”.

It is unknown what he was wearing at the time.

“Detectives continue to ask residents to check their cameras and contact the Wylie Police Department with any information,” they wrote. “We want to continue to thank our community for their support and continue to request that no one conduct a search party on their own.”

Police contacted PEOPLE and said they had no new developments to share.

In an interview published by ABC affiliate WFAA On Wednesday, November 6, Ballenger’s husband shared a message to his wife.

“If he sees this, I love him. “I hope he’s safe,” she said. “His daughters miss him and we want him back. Please, please come home.”

A vesper service is planned for Ballenger on Tuesday, November 5, at Cross Church and Gateway Community Church. Wylie News reported.
