AHUIMANU (HawaiiNewsNow) – A 23-year-old man died following a high-speed crash in the Ahuimanu area Tuesday night.

The incident occurred at around 20.50 near Hui Kelu Street and Aka Place.

HPD said the driver was speeding when he crashed into two parked unoccupied vehicles.

The car then crashed into the rocky wall.

Neither the driver nor his two passengers were wearing seat belts at the time.

Honolulu EMS took them all to the hospital, where the driver later died.

The passengers, both in their 20s, were taken to hospital in serious condition.

Investigators said no one was wearing a seat belt.

Police said alcohol and drugs do not appear to be contributing factors.

The investigation continues.
