Pesky porch pirates smuggle iPhone packages: Broadview Heights Police Blotter

BROADVIEW HEIGHTS, Ohio

Theft, Norwich Drive: On October 11, a Norwich Drive resident arrived at the police station after noticing a delivered package was missing from his home.

The officer spoke to the caller and told him that he had been given five new iPhones as part of a promotion after signing up for AT&T’s new fiber optic technology.

The package was delivered earlier that day, but when the woman returned home it was missing.

The doorbell camera showed the FedEx delivery driver making the delivery and then shortly after stealing the package, a man drove off in a white Hyundai or Toyota.

The woman was instructed to report to the police.

Police are investigating.

Theft, Broadview Road: On Oct. 10, a Broadview Road resident called police after learning he was the victim of a burglary.

An officer spoke to the caller, who said four new Apple iPhones had been delivered to his home the previous day.

Only when the resident arrived home hours later did he realize that the package was not at his house.

The man called AT&T, which required a police report.

There are no suspects. Police are investigating.
