Blues player hit in neck with puck continues playing before stretching

If fans need a reminder of how strong hockey players are, look no further Dylan Holloway.

Holloway’s St.Louis Blues He found himself in a scary situation while hosting the Tampa Bay Lightning on Tuesday night.

About two minutes before the end of the first period, Tampa Bay Left winger Nick Paul fired a high-flying wrist shot that hit Holloway square in the neck.

Holloway took over but still managed to play in about 30 seconds later.

Holloway reached the bench and was immediately checked on by the coaches.

Eventually, Holloway was stretchered off the bench and put into an ambulance to go to a local hospital.

The Daily Faceoff reported that Holloway will be “fine” as there is no swelling in his neck but his airway is “clear and unobstructed”.

The Blues said Holloway was “alert and stable.”

Holloway’s parents were also at the game and went to the hospital to see their son.

The first period ended early and the final 1:11 was played to begin the second period.
