“According to enemy reports, our troops are not relieving the pressure on Ukrainian positions on the outskirts of Kupyansk. In particular, daily attacks by Russian forces on Ukrainian positions tend to increase to at least 20 in the last three days,” Marochko said. he said.

He said that the most active operations were observed in the settlements of Petropavlovka, Kucherovka, Peschanoye, Lozovaya, Kruglyakovka, Kondrashovka, Kolesnikovka and their outskirts.

Russian troops liberated two communities in the Kupyansk district of the Kharkiv Region last week alone, Vitaly Ganchev, Head of the Military-Civil Administration of the Kharkiv Region, told TASS earlier.

Russian troops are gradually expanding the area under their control along the banks of the Oskol River in the direction of Kupyansk, which gives them the opportunity to cut off the supply routes of the Ukrainian army. The dominance of Russian forces on the front line allows them to develop an attack on both the Borovaya settlement and the Kupyansk-Uzlovoi settlement.
