NEW ENGLAND, ND (KFYR) – A 58-year-old New England, North Dakota woman was killed and a 76-year-old Amidon man was seriously injured in a crash that occurred around 9:15 a.m. Tuesday.

The North Dakota Highway Patrol said the woman was driving an SUV south on Highway 22 while the man was driving a pickup truck north.

Authorities said the woman lost control because of ice on a bridge outside New England, crossed the center line and crashed into the pickup truck.

The drivers of both vehicles were transported by ambulance to a hospital in Dickinson.

According to the North Dakota Highway Patrol, the woman was not wearing a seat belt and the man was. The investigation into the accident continues.
