Wilt Chamberlain ranks fifth on the Philadelphia 76ers’ all-time rebounding list.

The Philadelphia 76ers have seen some of the best players in NBA history play for the team. Let’s highlight the top five all-time leaders in rebounds.

1. Dolph Schayes1950-64(11,256 rebounds)

The 76ers’ franchise was originally the Syracuse Nationals. Schayes spent 14 seasons with the Nationals before playing one season with the 76ers. He led the league with an average of 16.4 rebounds per game in the 1950-51 season. He had an 11-season hitting streak of averaging at least 12 rebounds per game. In 996 games in the series, Schayes recorded 12.1 RPG.

2. Red Kerr1955-65 (9,506 rebounds)

Like Schayes, Kerr played for both the Nationals and 76ers. He averaged 6.6 rebounds in his rookie season. From 1956-64, Kerr had a streak of eight consecutive seasons averaging at least 11.2 rebounds per game. Over 834 career games in the series, Kerr has recorded 11.4 rpg.

3. Charles Barkley1985-92 (7,079 rebounds)

The 76ers selected Barkley with the fifth overall pick in the 1984 Draft. He spent the first eight seasons of his career with the team, making six All-Star teams along the way. He also finished in the top five in MVP voting three times. He led the league in rebounds with 14.6 in the 1986-87 season, and after his rookie season, he averaged at least 10 rebounds in every season of his career. In 610 career games with the 76ers, Barkley averaged 11.6 rebounds.

4. Billy Cunningham1966-72, 1975-76 (6,638 rebounds)

Cunningham began his career in the NBA after being selected seventh by the 76ers in the 1965 Draft. He averaged 14.3 points and 7.5 rebounds per game as a rookie. Over 654 career games with the 76ers, Cunningham averaged 10.1 rebounds.

5. wilt chamberlain1965-68 (6,632 rebounds)

Chamberlain played with the 76ers in the 1964-65 season. He later played in the franchise for three seasons, winning the MVP award each time. He also led the league in rebounding in each of those seasons. He achieved his best mark in the 1965-66 season with an average of 24.6 RPG. Despite appearing in just 277 games for the 76ers, Chamberlain ranks fifth on this list with 23.9 RPG.
