NEWPORT, Maine (WABI) – A man is in the hospital after a crash just before exit 157 of I-95 in Newport.

State Police say a worker for a paving company was placing cones on the highway when a construction vehicle in which he was a passenger was struck by a tractor trailer.

The worker who was thrown from the truck suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

He was taken to Bangor hospital.

The drivers of the construction vehicle and tractor trailer were not injured, police said.

The investigation into the accident continues.
