Caoimhin Kelleher – 7/10

He didn’t have much to do, making a very simple save in the first half and a fine double save in the 85th minute to keep the Reds clean. His distribution throughout the match was a bit disappointing.

Trent Alexander-Arnold – 6.5/10

He defended well and created several chances for Liverpool to go forward. Trent combined well with Ryan Gravenberch at times to keep Bayer Leverkusen at bay. He took a free kick from a dangerous place in the 36th minute, but the ball bounced off the wall and became a corner. He scored a goal that narrowly went over the bar in the 71st minute, but if he had scored, it would have been disqualified due to offside in the preparations.

İbrahima Konate – 7/10

Konate appears to have recovered well from his injury against Brighton. He defended solidly, often covering Trent at right-back.

Virgil van Dijk – 7/10

A classic Van Dijk performance stands out, with great defending and a long pass over the top to Mo Salah.

Kostas Tsimikas – 6.5/10

Tsimikas looked good again today, he had nothing to do defensively but kept Frimpong quiet in the first half when Frimpong’s goal was ruled out for a clear handball.

Ryan Gravenberch-8/10

Gravenberch once again did what he has done for the Reds all season; He won the ball on several occasions and helped Liverpool move up the pitch while also providing support to their backline.

Alex Mac Allister – 5/10

He struggled to make a meaningful impact on the game, looking exhausted and out of his depth at times during the match. A very disappointing display from the World Cup champion.

Curtis Jones-9/10

Full of energy and constantly ready to press, Jones played a great game; He often looked like the Reds’ most dangerous player and provided the assist for Diaz’s goal. Jones bought the fireworks to Anfield on Bonfire Night.

Mohammed Salah – 7/10

Liverpool, who looked the sharpest among the front three despite being the only player who failed to score a goal, struggled to create many meaningful positions in the first half, but Salah’s cross changed the course of the match. Cody Gakpo A few minutes after scoring their first goal, the Reds’ lead doubled. The King of Egypt also assisted Diaz’s second with a superb cross.

Cody Gakpo – 7/10

Gakpo had a quiet game until he doubled Liverpool’s lead in the 63rd minute. A bullet header from close range saved the Dutchman’s game as it was otherwise a bit disappointing.

Luis Díaz – 9/10

After a quiet first half, Diaz broke the deadlock with a cheeky strike in the 61st minute, keeping his cool under pressure and timing his run perfectly to Jones’ pass. Diaz also scored Liverpool’s third goal in the 83rd minute after getting on the end of Mo Salah’s cross. Diaz capped off his night with a hattrick in the 92nd minute and it was a fantastic night for the Colombian.
