HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — The man accused of dumping a woman’s body in a parking lot near the Texas Medical Center is now in custody.

Cerdarian Thompson, 31, was charged with murder and booked into the Harris County Jail on Monday. He is accused of a fatal shooting in September in which the body of Keambra Bibs was found in a parking lot off Main Street.

According to police, the investigation and evidence eventually led authorities to point to Thompson as a suspect in the case.

When Bibs was killed, Thompson was out on bail for a 2022 aggravated assault on a different woman, records show.

Details of Bibs’ case or his relationship with Thompson were not immediately released.
