Millions of Americans head to the polls on Tuesday They cast their votes on Election Dayand in battleground Georgia, more than half of the state’s active voters have already done so.

More than 4 million people cast early votes in person or absentee during the Peach State’s early voting period from Oct. 15 to Nov. 1. That’s 55.5% of the population actively voting, according to Georgia’s research Election Data Center.

Both the Trump and Harris campaigns are pouring massive resources into the state that President Biden won by less than 1% in 2020.

Here’s what we know about who’s currently voting in Georgia:

More women than men

Early female voters in Georgia outnumbered male voters by double digits; Allies of Vice President Kamala Harris are pushing back against Roe v. during the Trump administration. He sees this as a positive sign for Democrats, given their emphasis on abortion rights in elections since the Wade case was overturned.

Former President Trump has also appealed to female voters recently, vowing to “protect women” at multiple events over the past few days and warning that illegal immigrants under the current Democratic administration are “under attack.”

In Georgia, 56 percent of early voters were women and 43.8 percent were men.

Black women outperformed black men

In Georgia, the gap between male and female voters widened significantly when focusing on Black voters.

Women made up 62.1% of Black voters who voted early or voted in person, while Black men followed with 37.8%.

Black voters, especially women, are still expected to support Harris and the Democratic Party in large numbers.

But Trump’s campaign has sought to reach Black men in key states like Georgia and North Carolina with promises of economic prosperity under Republicans.

White voters made up the largest share

58 percent of early voters in Georgia were white Georgia VotesA data collection site that partners with the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

Black voters followed with 26.4% of early voting.

Hispanic and Asian voters combined make up about 6% of early voters.

Black or African-American Georgians make up roughly a third of the state’s population, according to the most recent census data.

The Georgia election website says 63% of active White voters in the state have already voted, compared to 49.7% of active Black voters.

Participation is high in rural districts

Counties considered more rural in Georgia appeared to have more active voters casting ballots before Election Day than in Democratic-leaning areas around Atlanta.

The top 20 counties so far in terms of percentage of total active voter turnout were all won by Trump in 2020, even though Biden won the statewide.

Bluer counties in the Atlanta metro area are significantly larger than rural counties with higher turnout; But in a race where votes fell below 12,000 in 2020, every vote cast is critical.

Most voters are from Democratic strongholds

Numerically speaking, the most early and absentee voters were in Atlanta and its surrounding densely populated suburbs.

The top three counties in terms of participation are Towns, Oconee and Dawson; Trump won them all in 2020, but the number of active voters voting here is already just over 47,000.

In contrast, Henry, Cobb and Fulton counties (the third is home to the city of Atlanta) saw fewer of their total active voting populations cast ballots before Election Day, but more than 861,000 ballots have been cast so far.

More than 830,000 people did not vote in 2020

One of the biggest questions of the Election Day autopsy will be how the more than 830,000 early voters who never voted in 2020 will vote this time.

This group makes up roughly 21% of Georgia Early voters, according to Georgia Votes.

About half of those voters are White and a quarter are Black.

Georgia Lt. Gov. Burt Jones told Fox News Digital last week that he believes those voters are largely Trump supporters who voted in 2016 but not in 2020.

However, it is worth noting that the majority of early voters in Georgia also voted in early 2020.
