Police have confirmed that a man has died following a stabbing in Plymouth.

Devon and Cornwall Police said officers were called to Cambridge Road at around 2.30pm on Monday after receiving reports that a man had been stabbed.

In an update released Tuesday, police said a 36-year-old Plymouth man was pronounced dead at the scene and a homicide investigation was launched.

Senior investigating officer on the case, Det Ch Insp Steve Fleetwood, said cordons remained in place and officers were searching for two men.
