Former Seattle Mariners Outfielder Finds New Home with American League West Rivals

There were several players playing for the Seattle Mariners winning World Series rings in 2024, despite the club failing to make the playoffs for the 22nd time in 23 years.

Teoscar Hernandez and Chris Taylor were two players who once pitched for the Mariners, participating in the World Series parade as members of the champion Los Angeles Dodgers.

Taylor Trammell was not part of the parade, but he will still be given a ring.

Trammell, old Seattle The outfielder is guaranteed a championship ring in 2024 as he pitches for the Dodgers and their American League World Series representative, the New York Yankees.

And Trammell will bring his new gem to the Mariners’ biggest rivals.

Trammell was acquired by the American League West champion Houston Astros in a cash trade from the New York Yankees on Monday, according to the Athletic’s Astros reporter Chandler Rome.

Trammell, a former top 100 prospect in baseball, played for the Mariners from 2021-23. During his time in the Pacific Northwest, he played 116 games and batted .168 with 15 home runs and 39 RBIs.

Trammell played a total of 10 games with Los Angeles and New York in 2024, hitting .143 (1-for-7). His lone hit was a single.

Houston has been hit hard by the injury bug in 2024, and adding Trammell would provide the club with outfield depth. Alex Bregman, one of the Astros’ most talented hitters, is also a free agent.

Unless injuries plague the club once again, Trammell is unlikely to get much playing time with the Astros.
