RVNL shares news on new order win today, check details

Shares of Rail Vikas Nigam Ltd (RVNL) are in the news today after the firm announced that it has won an order worth Rs 625 crore from the South Central railway for the engineering, procurement and construction (epc) contract for doubling the line between Parbhani and Parli stations.

In the previous session, RVNL shares closed at 446.50 rupees on BSE. The market capitalization of RVNL stood at Rs 94,034 crore on BSE. The one-year beta of RVNL shares is 1.5, indicating high volatility over the period. On the technical side, RVNL’s relative strength index (RSI) stands at 40.5, which indicates that it is not trading in the overbought or oversold zone. Rail Vikas Nigam shares are trading below the 5-day, 10-day, 20-day, 30-day, 50-day, 100-day, 150-day moving averages but above the 200-day moving averages.

The order from the South Central Railway in Maharashtra has to be fulfilled within 30 months.

Lowest Bidder (L1) from South Central Railway for Rail Vikas Nigam Limited’s “Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contract Agreement” for Doubling of Line (58.06 Km) (excluding Gangakhed) between Parbhani and Parli stations “From 292.075 km to 298.85 km = 6.775 Km) including Electrification and Signaling works associated with Parbhani-Parli doubling project of South Central Railway in the state of Maharashtra,” RVNL said.

RVNL is the executive arm of Indian Railways and works for and on behalf of the ministry for projects assigned to it for execution. It works on a turnkey basis and undertakes the entire cycle of project development from conceptualization to commissioning, including design stages, preparation of estimates, calling and awarding of contracts, project and contract management.
