Ravens Player Notes from the Denver Broncos’ Brutal 41-10 Loss to the Ravens

Denver Broncos fans had high hopes that they could win this game. Unfortunately, the Broncos laid eggs in the world Baltimore Ravens Losing 41-10. Even though the score didn’t reflect that, some players had good, even great games, but that wasn’t enough.

There were enough problems and mistakes around those bright spots that prevented the Broncos from playing good football, especially on the defensive end. There’s not much to say about the game, so let’s move on to the player notes.

While it wasn’t a great game, it was a good game by Nix. His interception was more on the receiver than on Nix. Even though the pass looked high, it was necessary to pass the defense.

There was a confidence in passing to the left, 21 of 33 passes went and he completed just eight. Nix also made some good plays with his legs, including a great play to catch the Broncos’ only goal scored.

The Broncos need better running backs. McLaughlin did almost nothing all season and had a terrible game against the Ravens. If Tyler Badie could return this season, it was needed because he looked like the best of the group.

Williams remains inconsistent and the Broncos should not consider a contract extension or re-signing.

Sutton was the only receiver who had a good game, making clutch catches and a touchdown pass. Vele was solid, but the rest of the offensive linemen created more problems for the Broncos’ offense than they solved. Humphrey allowed a pass to pass through his hands which led to the aforementioned Nix interception.

This tight end is the worst room in the NFL. The Broncos’ blocking is a challenge due to their inconsistency, and they lack a receiving threat despite Trautman having a career day in Week 8.

One fight did an excellent job while the other was terrible. Bolles had some issues as a run blocker but did a great job in pass protection.

McGlinchey struggled in both phases, although he didn’t allow much pressure. Playing as a run blocker was the worst thing he’s done since joining the Broncos.

Forsyth will likely continue as the starting center, especially after his performance in Baltimore. While Meinerz continues to be a reliable blocker, especially on the run game, Powers has struggled the last few games.

The Broncos need the Powers to bounce back to close out the season.

The Ravens controlled the trenches with their offensive line, and the Broncos’ defensive line had almost no impact. Franklin-Myers had some great moments and Allen had a few great moments as well, but the Ravens were completely against the latter the entire game.

Roach, Jones and Jackson were tough to watch. The Broncos’ best linebacker didn’t play enough snaps to qualify for a grade: Eyioma Uwazurike.

This was Bonitto’s best game as a run blocker. Was it perfect? No, but he was the most consistent defender of the run so far.

Cooper and Browning were tough to watch, and pass-rushing lane integrity is vital when guarding a player like Lamar Jackson, and they both blew it time and time again. Elliss was hit with a poor play that dropped his rating below 50 in the newsletter. Traded to Arizona Cardinals On Monday.

Alexander played a lot of snaps, and that makes sense considering who the Ravens have at quarterback. He did a pretty good job on his snaps and was one of the few bright spots for a defense that allowed 41 points. Barton was terrible and his lack of athleticism showed in almost every photo.

Without a passing offense up front, the Broncos’ secondary was exposed. McMillian has been rough lately and had the worst game of his career.

Moss was inconsistent at best, while Surtain got good marks. Remember, penalties do not count toward grades, and Surtain had one as well.

Key seemed to get lost there and directly impacted nearly every big explosive play the Ravens ran, running out of position or missing a tackle. Jones was strong against the Ravens, who were a tough matchup for him with what he did offensively.
