ATASCADERO. California (FOX 26) — Atascadero Police say a 21-year-old man from Paso Robles has been arrested for the murder of an Atascadero man who had been missing for nearly 2 weeks.

Todd Joseph Pinion, 34, was last seen in Atascadero on Oct. 22, but was active on social media the next day, according to APD.

Pinyon was reported missing on October 30.

Police said Pinion’s dog was found dead on the side of Highway 101 on Thursday.

Police announced the arrest Sunday after investigators identified Tyler Stevens, 21, of rural Paso Robles.

Stevens was taken into custody and booked into the San Luis Obispo County Jail on murder charges.

Pinion’s body was found in a remote area near Tassajera Creek on Saturday.
