LAWRENCE, Kan. (WIBW) – Lawrence police were investigating an overnight stabbing that sent one person to the hospital.

The stabbing was reported around 3:15 a.m. Sunday at 3250 Michigan Avenue.

A 56-year-old man was transported to the hospital after being injured during an overnight disturbance, according to a Lawrence Police Department Facebook post.

According to the Facebook post, the victim told police that a 46-year-old man cut his arm with a knife.

The victim’s injuries are not life-threatening and he is expected to recover, authorities said.

The suspect in the case could not be found as of 8.30 in the morning. Monday and police were still trying to find him.
