ITV’s new true crime drama Until It Kills YouIt made its debut on Sunday night and viewers have made up their minds about the series.

Based on Delia’s 2017 memoir Living with a Serial Killerthe four-parter says: true story The story of nurse Delia Balmer, who survives a near-fatal affair with murderer John Sweeney in the 1990s.

It’s safe to say that viewers were impressed by the engaging episodes and many binge-watched the entire series on ITVX in one sitting.

One viewer on social media wrote: “Absolutely perfect. I had to go straight to @ITVX to finish it. Great casting too,” said another, while another added: “#Till I Kill You #Til I Kill You….I finished 4 episodes in one go…wow! Absolutely stunning, Anna Maxwell Martin gave a very convincing performance. It’s wonderful and heartbreaking.”

Others commented on this scary story based on true events. One person wrote: “It’s heartbreaking to see what Delia went through after the horrific trauma, imagine women actually going through this!” Another stated: “What an anxious hour! Great acting. It’s scary to know it’s based on true events. Some people are just bad.”

Many viewers heaped praise on lead actors Anna Maxwell Martin and Shaun Evans, who played Delia and John. One viewer wrote: “Great. Terrible.” Both Anna Maxwell Martin and Shaun Evans are amazing actors.Another added: “Shaun Evans is a terrific actor. Anna Maxwell Martin is brilliant in this too.”

A third called for Anna to receive a BAFTA for her performance, writing: “I’ll rebel if Anna Maxwell Martin doesn’t get a bafta for #untilikillillyou.”

For those who haven’t watched the series yet, it chronicles the relationship between Delia and John, from the time they first met in a bar in Camden in 1991 until John attacked Delia with an ax outside her home. The series follows the nurse’s traumatic journey through the police and criminal justice system as she tries to get John imprisoned for his crimes.
