‘Long-term’ dog faces third Christmas at RSPCA Sheffield

The RSPCA has appealed to find a new home for a “long-term” dog who has been at a Sheffield shelter for 800 days.

Six-year-old wobbler Nova was adopted by the charity after she didn’t get along with another dog she lived with, but now faces a third Christmas without being adopted.

RSPCA Sheffield staff said more animals were being handed over to their care for financial reasons, such as the high cost of veterinary treatment.

Kerry Grayson, head of animal care and customer service, said: “Nova is a bit nervous at first but someone needs to give her a chance to see the other side.”
