Malaysian-born Nigel Ng was better known as Uncle Roger. Opened first fried rice restaurant in Kuala Lumpur In September this year, the restaurant experienced snaking queues.

In fact, his condition is so good that the 33-year-old actor More stores opening in Malaysia’s capital.

But not all customers had a good dining experience at Fuiyoh! Uncle Roger.

Lukian Wang, the Hong Kong YouTuber behind CookingBoBo, went so far as to call it the “worst dining experience” in Malaysia in a Reel uploaded to Instagram on October 24.

Lukian headed towards the restaurant as soon as he landed at the airport.

“This was the first place I visited when I came to Malaysia. After all, I am a fan of it and I love fried rice,” he shared.

The restaurant was still closed when Lukian arrived, and Lukian said he waited about 40 minutes before being seated.

As Lukian browsed through the online menu, he realized he didn’t initially have many options.

“I didn’t expect more than half the menu to be sold out,” Lukian explained.

After placing her order, she waited about 21 minutes until her first item, a cup of hot lemon tea, arrived.

While he praised the cup for being “cute”, he felt the drink was misadvertised and did not match the visual on the menu.

“I laughed about it at this point, but I didn’t realize it was going to get worse,” he said.

About 50 minutes after being seated, Lukian complained that his plate of fried rice had still not been served.

After making eye contact with the man in line in front of him, he realized that he had not received his food yet either.

Finally an hour laterWait, the fried rice is here.

Although he admitted that he “looked good”, Lukian was not satisfied.

When a woman at the next table asked for her opinion on the dish, she bluntly stated: “(This) is probably the best fried rice right now because I’m so hungry.”

He also told his audience that the line outside the restaurant was due to slow service, not because the place was popular.

“Needless to say, I won’t be going back,” he said.

AsiaOne has reached out to Lukian for more details.

In the comments, Uncle Roger apologized to Lukian and promised to “do better next time.”

Other netizens also shared their thoughts on Lukian’s experience, with many praising him for his honesty.

One of them said they were surprised that Lukian had the patience to wait long enough for them to leave after 20 minutes.

On the other hand, there were those who shared some of the reasons why the food took so long to arrive.

One netizen suggested that the restaurant may be facing difficulties in sourcing ingredients, while another suggested that it could be due to lack of manpower.
