Kamala Harris and Donald Trump make final push to voters before Election Day

PHILADELPHIA (WABC) — In deep-red Central Pennsylvania on Sunday, Donald Trump was hard at work preparing his supporters in case he loses the crucial state.

It was Pennsylvania that decided the last election over a days-long process because state law prohibits election workers from opening hundreds of thousands of mail-in ballots until polls close on Election Day. This led to protests and conspiracy theories that Trump continues to this day.

“This election needs to be held on Tuesday night at 9:00, 10:00, 11:00 – a bunch of crooked people,” Trump said.

“This is a distraction from the fact that we have free and fair elections in our country and we support that. That’s what we did in 2022. He lost,” Vice President Kamala Harris said.

Harris was in Michigan on Sunday, but she and Trump will return to the Keystone State on Monday. Every candidate needs to win Pennsylvania; they have been there dozens of times and have collectively spent more than half a billion dollars on a race that polls suggest is a draw.

Although Harris received surprise good news in reliably Republican Iowa on Sunday, a local pollster suggests she’s ahead of Trump there.

In the Democratic stronghold of Philadelphia, Harris needs all the votes she can get, but the situation may still be tight.

Harris supporter Ben Goff owns an art gallery and says he’s confident it won’t happen that soon.

“I don’t think so, because I talk to a lot of people and I ask them, I really believe that people are fed up with Trump and want change. I think he’s in the right place, in the right place.” It’s time,” Goff said.

The Harris campaign announced which artists will be participating in the massive Get Out the Vote concert on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway in Philadelphia on Monday night, the night before Election Day 2024.

Kamala Harris’ campaign is hosting the concert, which is planned to start at 17:00 on Monday.

DJ Cassidy, Fat Joe, Freeway and Just Blaze, Lady Gaga, DJ Jazzy Jeff, Ricky Martin, The Roots, Jazmine Sullivan and Adam Blackstone, and Oprah Winfrey are expected to perform or speak at the event.

It is stated that the vice president was among those who attended the meeting.

Trump has yet to announce his plans for the eve of the election.
