With winter knocking on the doors, minimum temperatures have started dropping across the state, but temperatures are still above normal in some cities. Lucknow meteorological office has even predicted very slight chances of rain at isolated places in Eastern UP.

Meerut recorded the lowest minimum temperature in the state at 14 degrees Celsius, which is 0.3 above normal. The minimum temperature in Muzaffarnagar was recorded as 14.6 degrees Celsius, in Kanpur City and Churk it was 15 degrees, and in Varanasi airport the minimum temperature was recorded as 16.8 degrees Celsius.

The minimum temperature in Ayodhya dropped to 16 degrees Celsius. “There will be a gradual decline in temperature now,” Met director Manish Ranalkar said.

The weather is likely to be dry in West UP, according to the state’s forecast. According to the IMD evening bulletin, fog/shallow fog is very likely to be seen at isolated places in the morning hours in Uttar Pradesh.

Meanwhile, the maximum and minimum temperature in Lucknow on Sunday were recorded at 33.7 degrees and 16.8 degrees Celsius respectively. For the state capital, it is predicted that there will be mostly fog in the morning and clear skies later. The maximum and minimum temperature will be 33 and 17 degrees Celsius respectively.
