CHARLOTTE, N.C. – A man died at the hospital following a shooting in Uptown on Saturday.

Shortly before 10 p.m., officers responded to a call of shots fired on South Church Street. When officers arrived at the scene, they found a male with an apparent gunshot wound.

Medical teams arrived at the scene and took the life-threatening injured person to a nearby hospital.

The victim was pronounced dead at the hospital.

No suspects have been identified at this time.

This investigation is active and ongoing.
