But Joshua carrying minor injuries and the scheduled fight date is probably too early for him, meaning Dubois needs a new opponent.

He said on talkSPORT Fight Night: “I have been very vocal about wanting to fight Daniel Dubois.

“I think he did extraordinarily well, he did a great job with that devastating knockout against Anthony Joshua.

“Jarrell Miller looked great against Filip Hrgovic and Anthony Joshua. But there is a difference.

“I’m fresh, I’m hungry and I’m ready to go. I’ve been waiting for a big fight since March, so let’s get started now.

“I feel like they asked different competitors to see which one would be a good fit, so there are a few hurdles to overcome.

“But I feel like it can happen and I want it to happen, but I hope everyone can come together and make it happen.”

Parker is in rich form and this has seen him rise rapidly heavyweight ranking.

The New Zealander had two big wins last year; Deontay Wilder before triumphing last December Zhilei Zhang In March.

He has yet to decide his next fight but is eyeing a world title shot, which could be difficult in the current environment.

Dubois is the current champion with all his other belts tied to Oleksandr Usyk, who will have his rematch with Tyson Fury. on December 21st.

‘Dynamite’ stated that he is open to confrontation and ready to fight anyone who comes his way.

And his promoter Frank Warren believes this is a showdown he is particularly interested in.

“I like most of the fights for him and this is one of them,” Warren said of a potential bout with Parker.

“But we will see that we will not be rushed on anything and we will look at where we are, what we need to consider and then make a considered choice.

“But it has to be something that suits everyone involved and more importantly it has to be something that suits Daniel because he is the champion.”
