The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) has confirmed the death of an adult male in a multiple crash on the Lagos-Badagry Expressway on Sunday.

LASEMA Permanent Secretary Olufemi Öke-Osanyintolu, who confirmed the development in his statement, said that many people were injured in the accident.

Oke-Osanyintolu said the accident occurred at Ile-Epo Bus Stand, Oko-Afa, Lagos-Badagry Expressway.

“In response to the distress calls made on the 767 and 112 toll-free lines at 09.33, the institution activated the emergency response team from the Igando base.

“When we arrived on scene, it was determined that multiple vehicles were involved in multiple accidents.

“The accident involved a fully loaded truck with plate number FFF 754

“The other cars involved in the accident were a Volkswagen commercial bus with registration number LSR 166 YE and a Nissan car with an unknown registration number,” he said.

According to him, an adult male died in the incident, while many injured were taken to nearby hospitals by Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) officials.

He added that FRSC officials deposited the body at the morgue before the agency’s response team arrived.
