The Two-Player Situation is Live for Magic

The Orlando Magic look to avoid a three-game losing streak when they face the Dallas Mavericks on Sunday night. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 PM ET at the American Airlines Center in Dallas.

Orlando’s five-game road trip continues after the Magic lost their first two contests since leaving home. Orlando enters the contest following a three-point loss to the Chicago Bulls on Wednesday night and learning they will be without All-Star forward Paolo Banchero on Thursday, following a 120-109 loss to Cleveland on Friday.

Dallas has two full days of rest but lost its last game at home to the Houston Rockets, 108-102. While Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving scored 57 points in total, six of Houston’s scorers reached double figures in the Rockets’ victory. Sunday night’s contest will also be the first night of a back-to-back campaign.

Before the game between the Magic and Mavericks on Sunday night, the latest developments regarding the player health and condition of both teams are as follows:

Banchero (torn leaning right) is out indefinitely. He will be re-evaluated in four to six weeks and his return-to-play schedule will depend on his body’s response to treatment.

Bitadze (left foot tendon strain) has missed three consecutive games, but each of the last two games has been ruled a game-time decision.

Carter Jr. (right knee tendinitis) was a late addition to the Magic’s injury report on Friday night in Cleveland, and Magic coach Jamahl Mosley said he learned the night’s original starting center would not be able to continue with the injury. He is at risk of missing a second game in a row.

Exum injured his ankle during training camp and has been out since.

Kleber suffered a hamstring strain in the second half of the second game of the season, and while Mavericks coach Jason Kidd assured there are no long-term concerns regarding Kleber’s absence, he misses his fourth consecutive game by sitting out against the Magic.
