The Fiji Police Force gathered today for a dedication ceremony at the Suva Civic Center to mark the start of the 2024 Ratu Sukuna Tournament and preparations for the festive season.

Acting Police Commissioner Juki Fong Chew emphasized the importance of the service as a time for the police force to come together and seek divine guidance for upcoming important events in the coming weeks.

He noted that although the goal is to be successful in the 2024 Ratu Sukuna campaign, it is equally important to ensure that operations during the festive season promote safety and well-being for all.

The Deputy Commissioner expressed his best wishes to all participating teams and expressed his gratitude for the support and sacrifices made by their families.

The tournament kicks off with boxing matches on Tuesday and the main rugby match will see the Shop & Save Police Blues face the Republic of Fiji Military Forces at the HFC Stadium in Suva on Saturday.
