Manchester United legend Paul Scholes questioned his former club for missing out on signing Cole Palmer when he left Manchester City to join Chelsea.

Palmer was sold in the summer of 2023 due to extreme competition from Man City.

The England international has quickly become one of the Premier League’s best players after joining Chelsea.

The 22-year-old scored 25 goals last season and has scored 12 goals for the Blues this season.

“Cole Palmer was great, wasn’t he? I think he is a wonderful person,” Scholes said on The Overlap.

“He’s also a big United fan. How we miss him? If he had come we wouldn’t be 14th in the league!

“Cole Palmer is a great player – talent, goals, assists – he has it all.”
