Police officer injured, 2 squad cars damaged after Moorhead man chase – InForum

MOORHEAD — Moorhead police arrested 19-year-old Saige Cogger of Moorhead on Saturday afternoon, Nov. 2, following a pursuit in which she was struck by two squad cars.

According to a written report provided by the Moorhead Police Department:

Around 1 p.m. Saturday, officers were dispatched to the 3200 block of Ninth Avenue south for a domestic situation.

According to the report, officers spoke with a male identified as Cogger who was uncooperative and argumentative; Cogger reportedly returned to a squad car before fleeing the scene.

When another officer began the pursuit, Cogger intentionally crashed into the pursuing squad car, according to the report; The report added that Cogger eventually returned to the scene of the initial call and was taken into custody.

Late Saturday afternoon, Cogger was being held in the Clay County Jail pending the filing of multiple charges, the report said.

Following the incident, a police officer sought medical attention due to pain after Cogger’s vehicle crashed twice into the police car the officer was in.

According to the police report on the incident, two squad cars were damaged during the incident.
