HARRISBURG – Stephen Scott’s silver medal has been hanging above his desk for two years. A tormenting specter haunted Lancaster Catholic, the District 3, Class 2A runner-up two seasons ago.

Scott and the Crusaders exorcised that evil spirit on Saturday. Second-seeded Lancaster Catholic eliminated No. 5 seed Trio2-0 in the Region 3 2A Championship at Central Dauphin’s Landis Field. It was the Crusaders’ first district banner in program history after a 2-1 loss to Fleetwood in the 2022 championship game.
