Police remain at the scene

UPDATE: 10:40

Police are at the scene of the overnight incident on Boucherie Road on Saturday morning.

Two RCMP cruisers are parked in the driveways of 3212 and 3218 Boucherie Road, and yellow police tape surrounds the front yard of 3218 Boucherie following what police described only as a “police incident.”

Boucherie Road was closed between Montigni and Sunnyside roads from 11:45 p.m. Friday until 4 a.m. Saturday as officers “evaluated the scene,” according to Sgt. Judith Bertrand of Kelowna RCMP.

Police have not yet released any further information about the incident.

One resident said police officers were combing the neighborhood with police dogs throughout the night.

A vehicle was also set on fire overnight near a mobile home park on Lenz Road, north of Highway 97 in West Kelowna. The fire occurred around midnight, shortly after the police incident in Boucherie, but police did not say whether the two incidents were related.
