Penticton Vees win back-to-back games to beat Blackfalds Bulldogs 5-2 – BCHL

Vees win back to back

The Penticton Vees scored four goals in the first period of their 5-2 win over the Blackfalds Bulldogs at the South Okanagan Events Center on Friday.

The Vees have now won back-to-back matches.

Penticton started the first period scoring four goals on 14 shots, thanks to Ben Merrill, Simon Meier, Max Heise and Luke Posthumus, who scored twice on Friday.

Blackfalds reduced the Vees’ lead to 2-1 at the half.

The Vees got into penalty trouble in the second minute and the Bulldogs took advantage of the power play with Jayden Joly scoring a home run to cut the Vees’ lead to 4-2.

The game remained at 4-2 until the end of the third quarter, when Merrill scored his second goal to make the final score 5-2.

Vees’ Captain Conyr Hellyer left the game in the second period with an upper body injury.

The Vees will host the Brooks Bandits SOEC on Saturday night with puck drop at 6 p.m.
