The Post-Journal and OBSERVER analyze real estate sales in Chautauqua County and recently reviewed transactions from Aug. 22-26.

During this time, 421-425 Main St., Dunkirk, was purchased by Friends of the Chautauqua County Child Advocacy Program, Inc., Dunkirk, for $230,000.

Prior to the sale, the Child Advocacy Program operated out of this location, using a portion of the building. The front of the building previously housed Occupational Therapy and Hand.

According to the Child Advocacy Program’s website, its mission is to “end child abuse in Chautauqua County. “When abuse occurs, CAP coordinates a community response to bring healing, hope, and justice to these children and families.”

In an unrelated sale, Mark and Jill Andriaccio sold 20 Main St., Bemus Point to Bemus Point, Inc. for $300,000. of Bemus Point sold to Coppolas. This is the location of Coppola’s Pizzeria. Messages sent last week to Coppola’s and Andriaccio’s Restaurant in Mayville were not responded to.

Also during this time, Dunkirk Local Development Corp. sold 401-403 Central Ave., Dunkirk to 401 Central, LLC of Buffalo for $95,000. This is the former First Bank of Niagara, which is now being converted into a mixed-use building for both storefront businesses and apartments.

The largest sale during this period was at 5388 Summer Haven in the town of Chautauqua, which sold for $1,675,000.

Including the previously mentioned sales, there were eight sales of $250,000 or more between August 22 and 26. The remaining top sales are as follows:
