BOLTON, Connecticut (WFSB) – A suspect is in custody following a crash that led to a shelter in Bolton Friday evening.

The town posted on Facebook that a crash occurred at the intersection of Brandy Street and Hanover Farms around 6:43 p.m., prompting a police investigation.

They asked citizens to shelter in place, lock their doors and not approach anyone suspicious if you see them.

State police said the person in the vehicle involved fled the scene on foot but was later found.
