MIDDLETOWN, Ohio — One person was killed and a portion of N. University Avenue was closed in Middletown after a vehicle rolled over several times Friday afternoon.

Northbound University Avenue was closed at Manchester Boulevard, Reinartz Boulevard and Monroe Street, Middletown police said in a social media post.

Middletown police officers said the crash was reported at 3:36 p.m.

Police said the accident involved a vehicle that rolled over multiple times.

Police confirmed one person was pronounced dead.

The crash is being investigated by the Butler County Serious Traffic Accident Reconstruction Team, or START.
