Visakhapatnam: Sruthi Ragamai from Visakhapatnam was awarded gold medal by Union education minister Dharmendra Pradhan at the 13th Convocation of IIT BHU in Varanasi. He is the only student from Telugu states to achieve this milestone.

Throughout her academic career, Sruthi maintained top grades. He completed his primary education at Kendriya Vidyalaya-I, Marripalem, Visakhapatnam and won many medals in the field of music during his university years. Sruthi also excelled in various sporting events and won gold and silver medals. He was selected for the prestigious DAAD-WISE scholarship in Germany and completed an internship at TU Braunschweig in Lower Saxony, West Germany.
