A 31-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after his wife was found fatally stabbed in Bellflower on Wednesday, October 30.

The victim was identified as 31-year-old Sandra Sahagun, and her husband was Joseph Sahagun, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Lt. Michael Modica said Friday.

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call of a domestic disturbance and assault with a deadly weapon at a residence in the 9600 block of Rose Street around 8:50 p.m., the department said in a news release.

Authorities said a gun was seized.

Additional information was not immediately available, including what led to the disturbance, what type of weapon was used in the stabbing or whether police had responded to previous calls to the address.
