SAPD says the victim was taken to the hospital with serious injuries after an argument turned violent on the West Side

SAN ANTONIO – One person was hospitalized with serious injuries and a suspect was taken into custody after an argument turned violent on the West Side, according to San Antonio police.

Officers were dispatched to the 3700 block of Wurzbach Road for a cut just before 3 a.m. Friday. They found the victim, a woman of unknown age, with injuries to her face and upper body.

Police determined that the victim and the unidentified 31-year-old suspect were arguing in a house.

The man grabbed an item from the home and struck the victim multiple times, causing injuries, according to SAPD.

While the injured was taken to the hospital, the suspect was detained.

The suspect faces a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, according to police.
